REPORTS TO: Food Service Manager
JOB SUMMARY: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen, storage, and dining area.
- Follows state health and safety standards.
DEMANDS OF THE JOB:
- Need lower body strength to stand and walk throughout the work day
- Upper body strength to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Climb step stool land lift boxes overhead to stack on shelves
- Must possess good basic math skills (weights, measures, addition, and subtraction)
- Follow a written recipe
- Knowledge of use and care of commercial cooking equipment
- Be steadfast in following excellent food handling practices and cleanliness
- The ability to multitask job duties
- Flexibility with job duties and situations that occur under pressure.
