COOK’S HELPERS

REPORTS TO: Food Service Manager

JOB SUMMARY: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintains the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen, storage, and dining area.
  2. Follows state health and safety standards.

DEMANDS OF THE JOB:

  1. Need lower body strength to stand and walk throughout the work day
  2. Upper body strength to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  3. Climb step stool land lift boxes overhead to stack on shelves
  4. Must possess good basic math skills (weights, measures, addition, and subtraction)
  5. Follow a written recipe
  6. Knowledge of use and care of commercial cooking equipment
  7. Be steadfast in following excellent food handling practices and cleanliness
  8. The ability to multitask job duties
  9. Flexibility with job duties and situations that occur under pressure.
